Sixth grade Art Tech students have recently been creating cloth pillow sculptures. After transferring their drawings to a folded cloth, students sewed the running stitch along the edge of their designs, except for a pull-through hole. Then, the main form of each pillow was turned inside-out and stuffed with poly-fill. The whip stitch sealed the pillow form. Surface features were made with buttons, carefully cut scraps of cloth, and yarn.
