CLASS OF 2026 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: VIVIEN WEIGAND W CLASS OF 2026 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: VIVIEN WEIGAND

Who has been your favorite teacher? Mrs. Haigwood and Mr. Batalla because they have both been extremely nice to me, and I like both of their classes. Also, they are both very good teachers.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My favorite thing about SPCS is having the ability to play sports with my friends.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? While at SPCS, I played basketball, volleyball, and was in the Beta Club.

What is your favorite Bible verse? “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

What advice do you have for the 7th graders? For the current 7th graders, my advice would be to work hard, study hard, and enjoy your 8th grade year!

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? My advice for new students would be to listen to your teachers, work hard, and have fun!

The SPCS Class of 2026 traveled to Raleigh Tuesday for the Diocese of Raleigh's 8th grade Baccalaureate Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. What a beautiful way for the many schools to come together to celebrate Mass as they prepare for graduation in a few short weeks! Who has been your favorite teacher? In 6th and 7th grade my favorite teacher was Mrs. Haigwood. I liked how she only yells when absolutely necessary. In 8th grade, my favorite teacher is Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Haigwood. Mrs. Clark is such a nice person, and same to Mrs. Haigwood.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My favorite thing about SPCS is the courtyard. I love how we go outside, even for just a few seconds when we transition classes. It’s a nice break sometimes.

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS?  Outside of SPCS, I swim with ECA.

What is your favorite Bible verse? “So do not fear, for I am with you.” - Isaiah 41:10

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Walk fast in the hallways. If not…proceed at your own risk.

Who has been your favorite teacher? Mrs. Crumpler because she is kind and is always willing to help me.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My favorite thing about SPCS is the sports.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? While at SPCS, I played football, basketball, and golf. I was also in the Beta Club.

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS? I enjoy playing golf at Brook Valley.

What is your favorite Bible verse? "Be strong and courageous, Do not be afraid; do not be discourage, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Never give up, work hard, and have fun!
What advice do you have for the 7th graders? Don’t get in trouble!

Who has been your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Mrs. Clark because she always takes time to help students when they don’t understand.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My favorite thing about SPCS is outside lunch.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? While at SPCS, I was in Beta Club and played basketball.

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS?  Outside of school I play the piano, take German lessons, and play soccer. 

What is your favorite Bible verse? “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”- 2Timothy 4:7

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Give yourself time to settle in, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What advice do you have for the 7th graders? Have fun and enjoy 8th grade while it lasts.
