Who has been your favorite teacher? Mr. Thomas–he used to give us candy. 

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My friends.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? I participated in Beta Club. 

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS? Dance With Dance Unlimited. 

What is your favorite Bible verse? “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.“ -Genesis 1:1

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Be nice to your teachers; they are people too.

What advice do you have for the 7th graders? Actually study. It will help you build good habits.

Who has been your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Mrs Haigwood because she’s a trusted adult to me and because she is just so loving and so smart.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? My favorite thing about SPCS is how welcoming and home-like the school is.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? I played basketball and soccer and am in the Beta Club.

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS? I play PGSA soccer.

What is your favorite Bible verse? “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way. and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam.“ -Psalm 46:1–3

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Raise your hand and be respectful.

What advice do you have for the 7th graders? Don’t make the teachers mad. Be remembered as the best eighth grade at SPCS.

Fifth grader Harper Donohue was welcomed into the Fifth grader Harper Donohue was welcomed into the Catholic Church this weekend! He received the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation. Harper has been working with Mrs. Harris for his sacramental preparation, and we all celebrate with him and his family! #spcs #HeartsLikeHis
CLASS OF 2026 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: OLIVER HINNANT W CLASS OF 2026 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: OLIVER HINNANT

Who has been your favorite teacher? I would say Mrs. Haigwood. She is always really nice and she lets Trey and me sit at the desk beside hers.

What is your favorite thing about SPCS? Definitely the sports.

What activities have you been involved in at SPCS? While at SPCS, I played basketball for 3 years, baseball for 2 years, and football for 2 years. I am in the Beta Club also.

What activities have you been involved in outside of SPCS? I play travel baseball, I go to church at Covenant, I do Young Life camps, and help with my little sister’s Upward basketball team.

What is your favorite Bible verse? “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, and whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

What advice do you have for students new to SPCS? Stay on top of your work, and if you play sports, stay active and train outside of practice.

What advice do you have for the 7th graders? Do well in sports and be good to your teachers. Get ready for high school during 8th grade.

Oliver adds, “If you play baseball, always follow your throw for Coach Blick.”

Oliver will join the Class of 2030 at JH Rose High School.
