Today is Mrs. De Vasconcelos's birthday! After tea Today is Mrs. De Vasconcelos's birthday! After teaching fifth grade at St. Peter, she has risen to the challenge of Middle School ELA, and she is absolutely crushing it. Mrs. D. has an incredible ability to find the good in each and every person and in every situation. She identifies her students' strengths, helps improve their weaknesses, and is fully committed to helping each student reach their full potential. To know her is to love her. Mrs. D. is also an incredible role model for her students and leads by example. What a gift she is to our school! Join us in wishing her a happy birthday! #spcs #spcsbirthdays #HeartsLikeHis

She is always right on the mark! Each and every day, Mrs. Lewis makes a positive impact on children in our school. She has a gift for helping students become the very best versions of themselves. Mrs. Lewis is also quite witty and hilarious! Let's shower her with birthday love and let her know how blessed we are to have her at St. Peter! #spcs #spcsbirthdays #HeistheWay
We have two terrific faculty members celebrating b We have two terrific faculty members celebrating birthdays today! Let's show some birthday love to Mrs. Coronado! One of the kindest souls you will ever meet, she is the awesome assistant to Mrs. Baro in first grade. Did you know that she is also a seamstress? Her talents know no limits! We are so blessed to have her on the St. Peter team! Let's make her feel special on her special day! #spcs #spcsbirthdays #HeistheWay
The soup tradition continues at St. Peter! What be The soup tradition continues at St. Peter! What began as a short-term Lenten Service project for 3rd Graders in Mrs. Connie Stallings’ and Mrs. Sharon Whitehurst’s classes in 1998 has become an institution and rite of passage for the intermediate grades. Since that simple beginning, soup has been made every Thursday for 28 years. The 3rd and 5th grade prayer partners bring cans of vegetables to make the soup under the loving guidance of teacher assistant Mrs. Betsy Godwin. Mrs. Nancy Williams, who is the mother of three SPCS Alumni and now grandmother to two current SPCS students, delivers and serves the soup at the J.O.Y. Soup Kitchen. What a privilege it is for our students to continue this beautiful legacy of, quite literally, serving others. #spcs #HeistheWay @joysoupkitchen
