WHAT OUR WILDCATS ARE UP TO

Beta Club's Tree of Warmth for Catholic Charities Beta Club's Tree of Warmth for Catholic Charities will be returning on December 2! Beta Club will collect warm hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves. Additionally this year, they will collect socks for the homeless shelter. They've requested white and black socks for men and women, warm fuzzy sleeping socks and flip flops for the bathroom. We can't wait to decorate the tree with generosity! #spcs #HeartsLikeHis
We never stop marveling at the beauty of the Catec We never stop marveling at the beauty of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for our students in PK3 - 1st grade. Work in the atrium is intentional and meaningful. The Practical Life Works (Montessori concepts) are beneficial to each child in its simplicity. Whether it is pouring rice or scooping dry beans, this autonomous work is methodical in movement. It heightens the sense of hearing and quiet listening. Ultimately, mastery of concentration will lead to contemplation and prayer. #spcs #HeartsLikeHis
Our 2nd grade classes had the opportunity to visit Our 2nd grade classes had the opportunity to visit Sylvan Heights Bird Park in Scotland Neck last week. Our classes got an up close experience with more than 2,000 birds from all over the world. They also got to pet a bearded dragon and duck! The field trip was very fun and memorable! #spcs #HeartsLikeHis #wildcatwanderings
This week we will begin to work on the virtue of m This week we will begin to work on the virtue of magnanimity. Magnanimity means seeking with confidence to do great things in God. It literally means having a “large soul”. Magnanimity looks like wanting to become a saint and asking Jesus to help you. Do I really believe that God can make me into a great saint? #spcs #heartslikeHis
Third grade art students are reaching for the sky! Third grade art students are reaching for the sky! They have recently built paper and cardboard airplanes. Structural reasoning, measurement, symmetry, wing design, and considerations of color were important factors as students built these sculptures. #spcs #HeartsLikeHis #fromtheartroom
