In May, second grade art students drew “Color Wheel Flower Gardens” with pencils, colored pencils, and permanent markers. The dominant flower in each composition has petals that show a 6-part color wheel. Brown and black appear in the central circle of the color wheel flowers because they can be obtained by mixing the three primaries in different proportions.
