PHYSICAL EDUCATION
At St. Peter Catholic School, we don’t just want to foster good students; we want to help our students develop as a whole person — which includes physical education! Our aim in PE is to help children become physically literate individuals who recognize the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN
PHYSICAL EDUCATION AT SPCS
All students at Saint Peter Catholic School take Physical Education (PE) at least once a week. Students will learn a variety of sports, such as tennis, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Students in younger grades will even try cup-stacking, which supports hand-eye coordination. The only game they will never play in PE is dodge ball.
PE is also where the students in PreK-5th learn their dances for the popular Grandparents and Special Friends Day program. PE also runs Field Day at the end of the school year.
Students in Middle School use the locker rooms to change into their PE uniforms. Students in PreK-5th grade do not change into PE uniforms.
