WHAT OUR WILDCATS ARE UP TO

Beta Club's Tree of Warmth for Catholic Charities Beta Club's Tree of Warmth for Catholic Charities is back! Beta Club is collecting warm hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves. Additionally this year, they are also collecting socks for the homeless shelter. They've requested white and black socks for men and women, warm fuzzy sleeping socks and flip flops for the bathroom. Please keep sending in these items to serve the needy in our area! Thank you to those who have already donated! #spcs #HeartsLikeHis
Mrs. Hopkins has a secret message for her class! Mrs. Hopkins has a secret message for her class!
Mrs. Rouse's PK4 class read Humpty Dumpty this wee Mrs. Rouse's PK4 class read Humpty Dumpty this week, and then asked two questions: 1) Were they really not able to put him back together? 2) And if not, what could we make to keep him safe from his fall? "I gave them a pile of recycled materials and we worked together to build a safety device for him," Mrs. Rouse said. "The first one we built kept him safe from the fall off my desk, but nothing higher was safe because he still splatted. We went back to the drawing board and worked out what we could add to keep him even safer (extra padding and a parachute) and it worked! We dropped him off my desk, the TV, from our ceiling, and the top of the bleachers in the gym. Finally I tossed him up in the air as high as I could off the retaining wall into the back parking lot, and he survived every single time!"
Seventh grader Juliana Gonzalez received a Wildcat Seventh grader Juliana Gonzalez received a Wildcat Shout Out for the virtue of prudence. She wisely guided a younger student in a tricky situation to help the child. Well done, Juliana! #wildcatshoutout #spcs #HeartsLikeHis
Two of our students earned Wildcat Shout Outs for Two of our students earned Wildcat Shout Outs for the virtue of honesty. Eighth grader JP Phipps and sixth grader Ryan Curvin each turned in dollar bills that they found on the sidewalk in front of school. Another student had accidentally and unknowingly dropped the cash. It would have been very easy for JP and Ryan to pocket the money, but they both made the virtuous choice. Great job, gentlemen! #spcs #wildcatshoutout #HeartsLikeHis
